THE REASON BEHIND THE SUCCESS OF THE HIMALAYAN TRUST

Sir Edmund Hillary who spent rest of his life after successful ascent of Mount Everest for the continuity of the Himalayan Trust work is the main key for the success of the Himalayan Trust. Sir Edmund Hillary says that the greatest satisfaction for him is to keep the work of the Himalayan Trust continue in future.

The other important reason is that the Himalayan Trust responds to the request of the local community and all projects are planned and implemented jointly by the local community and the Trust. This has been the philosophy of the Himalayan Trust from the very beginning of its existence.

Last but not the least without the continued support from the following government and non-government organizations, it would be impossible to continue the work of the Himalayan Trust. They are the backbones of the Trust for its financial sources.
